Scott Tran has been a violinist in the Phoenix East Valley location for over 3 years teaching and performing in Scottsdale, Phoenix, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and even Fountain Hills. He teaches beginning violin and viola ages 6 and up, and can work with elementary students, junior high students, high school students, undergraduate college students, and even beginning adult students. In addition to violin instruction, Scott has been a member of the Symphony of the Southwest formerly known as the Mesa Symphony orchestra and Musica Nova Orchestra. Beyond classical orchestral music, he is well received as an innovative artist performing original material with the band Watershade as he alternates between lead and backing vocals while playing his NS CR Series Electric Violin. Often described as a "versatile" musician, his broad playing styles include playing "fiddle" in the county band A Boy Named Sioux, sitting in with Mary Hoffman, jazz standards with Rebecca De La Torre and Kat Schuett, bluegrass with Whitestone, and many other groups and events. He's also been a source of spiritual inspiration enhancing the mass experience at both ASU All-Saints Newman Center in Tempe and Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mesa.
